What’s on my list? (Summer 2019)

I know this is rather late considering we have about a month left of summer. However, given the limited time, I think it is important for me to write down activities I want to try out before the summer runs out and share with others who maybe in need of things to do.

Here’s what’s on my list:

Hiking trails: I’m not a big outdoor fan but love a good hike. I want to check out Sea to Sky Trail and get on the gondola & Joffre Lakes. I’m open to doing the Grouse grind again as a summer tradition.

Places to visit (for the optics): Othello Tunnels (most likely not happening given it is in Hope but, hey) & Shannon falls .

Hiked the Garibaldi Trail last year- it was so beautiful.

Travel to a neighbouring city: I’ve heard a lot of good things about Whistler and I have never been. This is the best time to visit as it is somewhat a low peak period there.

For the summer weeknights: Check out one of the performances on bard on the beach , watch a free movie outside & free yoga in False Creek.

For the heat: Go Kayaking & visit Cultus lake and go tubing.

Went Tubing down the American River last summer and completely enjoyed it.

I previously had on here to watch the fireworks competition that take place in the summer, which I did.

Honda Festival of Lights

Night Out: These ones aren’t too urgent as I can always check them out in the fall. However, I’d like to check out The Shameful Tiki Room, Colony Bar and The Belmont Bar.

Whew, August looks full already.

I am also keeping my eye on different activities that catch my eye on Daily Hive Vancouver and Tourism Vancouver. I know I’ve missed a few festivals being a couch potato or being out of town so hopefully I can catch one before the summer ends.

See anything you like and want to be a part of? Shoot me a message and we can work something out. Also have suggestions for me to check out? Please share with me in the comments.

Lots of love,

  1. Some of these are on my wish list as well but between summer flying by and being lazy, the struggle is real.
