Live, Love LA

Although it has been more than a month since my trip to LA, I am still drooling over the memories and experiences I had that weekend.

I had traveled solo which I was sort of skeptical about but thanks to my wonderful family, I had an amazing time and I look forward to my next trip there.

Special thank you to my cousin Imeh for showing me around with her two boys.. ❤️

Family all day, every day!

 Quick Tips?

-Don’t forget your passport- I was in such a hurry to catch my flight (after work) that I got to the airport without my passport.Really Shasha? (Luckily, I was able to leave the next morning)

-Write a list of things you want to travel with and review it before you step out of the door- My mother does this, I don’t know why it took me so long to pick up on this.

-Write a list of things you want to do on your trip- How does that saying go? If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! I had written a list of the things I wanted to do and this made touring the city easier. img_0499-1

-You might need to step out of your comfort zone if you are solo traveling so be prepared. (I ran into @blaircaldwell at Zoe LA who told me to check out The Grove and then at Lacma, I met two lovely ladies – one is Nigerian!!) I did pretty well for myself.

-Start your day early.

-Dress comfortably- I had originally worn a dress which got torn but luckily, I had shorts for the beach in my bag so all I had to do was buy a top.

Los Angeles- City of Angels

I couldn’t tour the whole city or go to all the places I wanted to go to in one day but I went to most of the places which was good (Did I forget to mention that I got to bond with family too?) #FeelingFulfilled

Some of the places I got to visit were:

1)Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The LA Tar Pits

2) Zoe church LA (can tick that one of my bucket list)- I got to see Pastor Chad & Julia Veach.

3) Universal studios/ City Walk- there was a party for all age groups

4) The Grove- something about the architecture gave me this Italian feeling.. (Oh Italy)

5) Farmer’s market

6) Hollywood walk of fame

I got to drive through and briefly see staples center, the Hollywood sign (from a distance, couldn’t even get a picture), sunset boulevard, Beverly hills, people partying at 8pm and so much more. I ended my day with some homemade macarons, although I ate them half awake.

I had so much fun that I was incredibly tired the next morning. That said, I look forward to my next trip to LA.

Remember to Live a little!

Love,

Shasha
