A few weeks ago, I had an emotional breakdown. As I recalled my experiences this year, it seemed like I hadn’t accomplished much this year. There was the little voice in my head that reminded me of the instances I had failed and the goals I had not accomplished. I was open with my friends about how I felt and thankfully, they were quick to remind me, i) I wasn’t a failure, ii) I had done some pretty amazing things this year and, iii) I will achieve more in the coming year.
That said, I would like to repeat the same words to everyone who feels or has felt as I did a few weeks back. i) You are not a failure, and you are awesome! ii) You have done some pretty amazing things this year. I’m certain that if you take some time to reflect, you will find that you have much to be thankful for. iii) You will achieve more next year; just work hard and set your mind to it.
Finally, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
I made a video of some of my high and fun moments this year and this made me so thankful for my family, friends, the experiences, and a great year in general. I am sharing this video with hopes that it will inspire you to reflect on the amazing moments of 2017, the good and the not-so-good times, and the lessons that 2017 taught you. I hope that you will take the next few days to reflect on, reach out to your loved ones, share the love of this season, set goals for the new year, and most importantly, be thankful for all that you have and all that you have accomplished thus far.
Lots of love,
